McFarlane Toys Unveils Batman Figure Inspired by DC Icon Dan Mora

McFarlane Toys has unveiled a new Batman 1:6th scale DC Direct resin statue. The figure is inspired by the art of acclaimed DC Comics artist Dan Mora and will soon launch pre-order.

The toy giant offered the first look on its official X (formerly known as Twitter) account. The Dan Mora-inspired Batman figure will be available for pre-order on May 9, 2024, at select retailers. The Batman 1:6th scale DC Direct resin figure comes with a stand bearing the iconic Bat symbol and the new figure spots Mora’s street-level Detective Comics Batman design. The artist has also drawn the Dark Knight and his most iconic ally, Superman, for their Legendary adventures in World’s Finest.

McFarlane Toys has lately been prolific regarding its Batman-inspired scale figure releases. The 7″ scale figure is featured in Glow in the Dark paint and designed with ultra articulation with up to 22 moving parts for a full range of posing and play. At $29.99, the figure comes in an exclusive designer box and includes a logo card stand and base. The 7″ scale figure also comes with a collectible art card with character art on the front and a certificate of authenticity on the back.

McFarlane Toys celebrated Batman’s 85th anniversary with the reveal of another DC Multiverse figure. The Batman Detective Comics #27 7” scale figure, also available for pre-order, replicates the dark and grey suit the Caped Crusader wore for his very first adventure in Detective Comics #27, featuring seven anthology stories by legendary creators such as John Layman, Scott Snyder, and Bryan Hitch.

The Caped Crusader’s World’s Finest counterpart, Superman, also has a DC Direct line figure based on art by DC Comics’ CCO Jim Lee. Now available for pre-order, the Superman 1:6th scale figure dons the Big Blue Boy Scout’s traditional costume, complete with the hero’s classic red trunks. Lee provided the art for 2004’s “Superman: For Tomorrow” storyline, published in Superman #204-215. The artist also drew the Superman unchained miniseries, which debuted in 2013 to coincide with the release of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel movie.

The Batman DC Direct 1:6th scale figure based on art by Dan Mora will be available for pre-order starting May 9, 2024, at select retailers.
