Skybound and Image Comics have revealed a first look at the variant covers and interior art for Transformers #13. The upcoming issue looks at the Decepticon Starscream’s secret origins.
Following Starscream‘s battle with the Decepticons in previous issues, the ruthless Decepticon has now been left for dead, and the new issue will see the villainous character revisiting his “shocking past” in order to survive what’s next. Transformers #13 kicks off the two-issue Starscream origin story and features art by Jason Howard. Previews of the issue’s interior art show Starscream in the aftermath of battle before flashing back to more pleasant times in his past. Skybound revealed new variant covers for the issue, including a blank sketch cover and a special surprise open-to-order cover by Harley Quinn artist Ludo Lullabi. Transformers #13 goes on sale Oct. 9.
