Marvel has revealed a new ‘Raid on Graymalkin’ crossover event that will pit the X-Men against each other this December. The action will unfold between the ongoing X-Men and Uncanny X-Men titles.

The crossover is part of the X-Men’s new From the Ashes era, with the Raid on Graymalkin story pitting X-Man against X-Man in a fight for the dream of Professor Charles Xavier. The four-part crossover will begin in X-Men #8 before continuing in Uncanny X-Men #7, X-Men #9 and concluding in Uncanny X-Men #8. The story kicks off in December when the X-Men make a move on Graymalkin Prison in order to free their teammate. As the raid continues, team leaders Cyclops and Rogue will find themselves at war over Charles Xavier’s future. Exact release dates for the new issues have not been revealed by Marvel at this time.

The Ultimate Universe’s Children of the Atom are different than any of their predecessors in the primary Marvel Universe — and it’s a problem.

“I hope that this is a precursor to more short crossovers,” Simone added. “We love the idea of doing something impactful, where it feels punchy and fast-paced, with some genuine, lasting effects. You can still just read X-Men or Uncanny X-Men and follow the story, but you’ll get a bigger, richer picture if you get both.
