Marvel is kicking off the X-Men‘s new ‘From the Ashes’ era with an animated launch trailer that features art from the first issue. The new series, led by Jed MacKay and Ryan Stegman, is available now.
The new ongoing X-Men series will be a thrilling entry into the mutant mythos that will be perfect for longtime X-Men readers as well as a great jumping on point for new fans. The series introduces a new team of X-Men led by Cyclops, with fan-favorite mutants like Beast, Magneto, Psylocke, Magik and many others taking part in the missions. Marvel’s trailer for X-Men #1 includes shots of the team in action and declares it to be a “dangerous time for mutants”. The series takes place after the end of the X-Men’s Krakoen era, which concluded earlier this year with Marvel’s ‘Fall of X‘ event.

The solicit for the debut issue teases that the new X-Men run will see the mutants “battling for the destiny and philosophy of the mutant species.”
Marvel’s X-Men Rise From the Ashes in New Comic Titles
The new ongoing X-Men series is one of many new stories kicking off mutantkind’s adventures in the ‘From the Ashes’ era. Uncanny X-Men #1 kicks off in August with the disappearance of Professor X, and Exceptional X-Men #1 follows in September, with Kate Pryde leading a new team of X-Men. The series will see Pryde working with an all-new group of wayward young mutants — and trying her best to avoid the watchful gaze of Emma Frost.
