Power Rangers Prime kicks off a whole new saga for the franchise. Although BOOM! Studios has previously published a whole host of other Power Rangers titles, including their eight-year epic which spanned numerous comics, the mainline series from the publisher was brought to a close with the recent release of Power Rangers: Darkest Hour #1 by Melissa Flores, Raúl Angulo, Jose Enrique Fernández, and Simona Di Gianfelice. The ongoing saga left off with the defeat of Dark Specter and a vision of the future in which Billy Cranston still stood tall as quite possibly the last Power Ranger of his universe.

Following its release on November 13, Power Rangers Prime #1 quickly proved to a be a hit with fans. On November 18, BOOM! Studios confirmed that the issue would be headed back for a second printing after the first round completely sold out at the distributor level well before it hit store shelves. BOOM! Studios editor Allyson Gronowitz opened up about the series’ creative team and early success, saying, “Melissa [Flores], Michael [Yg], Fabi [Marques], and Ed [Dukeshire] have done something truly Morphinominal in launching another blockbuster series… And now, with a second printing, even more fans and readers can jump into the next amazing chapter of Power Rangers.”
