Spider-Man Gives Fans a Lesson in Cooking

Marvel has released a new official cookbook featuring Spider-Man. The “friendly neighborhood guide to cuisine” features foods from New York City as well as the “Spider-Verse and beyond”.
Marvel: Spider-Man: The Official Cookbook includes over 60 recipes and includes a variety of appetizers, main courses, desserts and beverages. The recipes are inspired by the five boroughs of New York City and have worldwide influences that show how New York City is a melting pot. The Marvel cookbook is narrated by Peter Parker’s Spider-Man and comes with contributions from Miles Morales, Ghost-Spider and other heroes from across the Spider-Verse. Marvel: Spider-Man: The Official Cookbook is available for purchase now wherever books are sold.

In their press release for the new cookbook, Marvel teased some of the dishes that can be found inside, including a bulgogi recipe from Silk, wheatcakes from Aunt May, Miles Morales‘s Arañitas (aka Little Spiders) and Wong’s chai tea latte. Marvel also promises that the book is perfect for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced chefs.
Marvel’s press release also included an interview with the Spider-Man cookbook’s authors, Jermaine McLaughlin, Paul Eschabach and Von Diaz. The three discussed how they instilled Spider-Man‘s legacy into the cookbook’s recipes. “Rather than randomly picking one hero or another, we realized that the recipe should pick the web warrior,” McLaughlin said. “Miles’ mom is Puerto Rican, and his heritage was the main inspiration for his recipes. That and his deep love of Brooklyn,” Von Diaz added.
