The following contains spoilers for X-Men #4, on sale next week.
The new X-Men series, one of the three flagship books of the new “From the Ashes” X-Men relaunch, has introduced a number of major new threats for Marvel’s mutants, including the fact that people’s X-Genes are being activated well into adulthood, which has convinced the rest of the world that the X-Men have now made being mutants contagious, which is freaking people out a lot.
