EXCLUSIVE: Elektra Explains Why Daredevil Is Such a Good Lover

[[{“value”:”

The following contains spoilers for Daredevil #15, on sale next week from Marvel

Ever since Matt Murdock returned from Hell (whereupon he became a priest), something has been slightly off, and over time, he discovered that somehow, his soul has become fractured, and infected with the Seven Deadly Sins. These soul infections have then begun possessing people that Matt Murdock is close to, friends and foes alike. He just recently successfully purged Greed from Kingpin, leaving Wilson Fisk suddenly repentant for the first time in his life. Daredevil has no time to deal with the new believer, as he and Elektra (who is also known as Daredevil nowadays) are searching for Wrath, who appears to be hunting Jason, one of the kids from the youth home that Matt’s parish runs. Elektra has hired a private investigator to find Jason, and in this CBR exclusive preview of Daredevil #15, we see what happened to Elektra’s private eye, and Elektra debates with Matt over whether these sins possessing people are really Matt’s or not.

Daredevil #15 is from writer Saladin Ahmed, artist Luigi Zacaria, color artist Jesus Apurtov, and letterer Clayton Cowles, and it continues the overarching story (this is considered the fifteenth part of an overall arc) of Daredevil’s guilt blaming himself for everything that has happened since he has returned from Hell, including him quitting the priesthood in recent issues. Elektra, though, argues that this is not actually Matt’s fault, since the “Sins” don’t even fit his personality!

10 Comics You Need to Read if You Miss Netflix’s Daredevil

Fans of the Netflix Daredevil series looking for more street-level comic book goodness will certainly enjoy these gritty, noir-inspired classics.

In the preview pages, we see that the private investigator that Elektra hired has been viciously murdered, and Daredevil, of course, blames himself, and Elektra agrees, but only to a point. She agrees that this is happening BECAUSE of Daredevil, but not that he is the one actually RESPONSIBLE for it.

She explains that it doesn’t make sense for these sins that have been possessing people have actually come from Daredevil himself, as he is too good of a person for the sins to actually fit his personality. She goes on to explain that, for instance, Daredevil is not a lustful man at all. In fact, that is why he is so popular with the ladies (well, that and being a good-looking, muscular lawyer, of course), in that when he makes love to a woman, he pretty much falls in love with them each time, and thus is not lustful at all. It is what makes him such a good lover.

Therefore, Elektra theorizes that this must be someone who is using the Sins themselves to attack Daredevil, and it doesn’t really have to do with Matt’s personality itself, but Matt, of course, still only feels guilt. You’ll have to check out the issue to see who the Sins possess next!
