Legendary Comics has announced a new graphic novel based on the cult classic horror film Trick ‘r Treat. The project is now available for support on Kickstarter. Trick ‘r Treat: Witching Hours is the first all-original graphic novel in the franchise released in a decade, and it is presented by Trick ‘r Treat creator and director Michael Dougherty.

The graphic novel will feature four brand-new, original stories centered around the Trick ‘r Treat protagonist Sam. Dougherty is joined by writers Zach Shields (Godzilla: King of the Monsters), Todd Casey (Trick ‘r Treat: Days of the Dead), and Curtis Waugh (Stegosaurus, the Moistest) for the new tales. Ben Templesmith (30 Days of Night) and Tristan Jones (Mad Max: Fury Road comics) will provide art for the stories. Breehn Burns returns from working on the Trick ‘r Treat movie and comics to both write and provide illustrations for the anthology.
