The following contains major spoilers for Titans #15, on sale now from DC Comics.
DC’s Titans have just become a whole new kind of super team to save the world from one of their worst enemies.
Titans #15 finds the titular team staring down the threat of not just Trigon, but the demonic Dark Raven who has ascended to the role of the Dark Winged Queen. Fortunately, Raven and her other half are able to put aside their differences and come together as one to push back their infernal father. Of course, even together, the two sides of Raven’s persona aren’t enough to bring Trigon’s rampage to an end, though once she takes hold of her fellow Titans’ power, there is nothing that can stand in her way.

Raven, also known as Rachel Roth, is arguably the most powerful member of the Titans and has been since her original, pre-Crisis introduction all the way back in “Where the Nightmares Begin!” (by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, from the pages of 1980’s DC Comics Presents #26). The daughter of the demon Trigon, Raven is imbued with an impossible amount of magical energy. Unfortunately, she is also tied to her father’s realm in both mind and spirit, which has frequently proven to be a problem for her and her fellow young superheroes.
Over the past two years, the threat of the Dark Raven has been growing on the sidelines. It wasn’t until after Amanda Waller recovered both the Nightmare Stone and Helmet of Hate that she gave Dark Raven a chance to strike back against the world’s heroes on her own as Doctor Hate. Soon enough, Doctor Hate’s true identity was revealed, giving the Titans themselves some horrifying insight into the truth of the situation at hand.
A Terrifying Superman Returns in DC’s Absolute Power
DC’s Absolute Power brings the darkest versions of two heroes back into the spotlight for a battle with Superman.
Since stepping out of the shadows, Dark Raven has waged war on the other Titans and her own demonic family. Apart from trapping Raven within one of the very soul gems that she herself was stuck inside of for so long. She also imprisoned her demonic brethren to harvest their power and add it to her own. This, coupled with her transformation into the towering Dark Winged Queen, turned Dark Raven into one of the biggest threats that the Titans have ever faced, literally and figuratively.
