Power Rangers Reboot Is Doing Better Than You Think

BOOM! Studios’ Power Rangers reboot is off to a good start. The publisher recently announced Power Rangers Prime #1’s second printing after the book sold out at the distributor level before its release.

Per BOOM! Studios, Power Rangers Prime #1’s second printing will feature Rebeca Puebla’s (Vicarious) new cover art and will hit comic book shelves on December 18. Darkest Hour scribe Melissa Flores penned Power Rangers Prime #1 with art by Michael YG (Iron Fist). Colorist Fabi Marques and letterer Ed Dukeshire complete the creative team for the reboot that introduces new Rangers and villains to the Power Rangers mythos. Following Darkest Hour, the bold new take promises “a new story, unlike anything that’s come before” and that Power Rangers Prime #1 is “a perfect Day One jumping on point for new readers and old fans alike.

BOOM! Studios’ Power Rangers Prime description reads, “POWER RANGERS is BACK and better than ever! Angel Grove University students face a difficult choice after crossing paths with a fugitive straight out of legend. The consequences for hiding her are dire, but her existence may not stay secret for long.”

BOOM! Studios editor Allyson Gronowitz spoke highly of the Power Rangers Prime creative collaborators and is excited the first issue will reach more fans with its second printing. “Melissa, Michael, Fabi, and Ed have done something truly morphinominal in launching another blockbuster series,” Gronowitz said. “And now, with a second printing, even more fans and readers can jump into the next amazing chapter of Power Rangers.”

Heritage Auctions and Hasbro will present the Power Rangers Hasbro Hollywood & Entertainment Signature collection on November 18-19. It also includes several iconic props, costumes, and hero items from across Power Rangers’ more than thirty-year legacy.
