New Wonder Woman Figurine Announced by McFarlane Toys

McFarlane Toys has given fans a first look at a new Wonder Woman figurine inspired by the artwork of Jim Lee. It will be available for pre-order beginning July 25 at select retailers.

The Wonder Woman 1:6 scale posed figure is based on artwork by Jim Lee and features the Princess of Themysicra wielding her lasso of truth in both hands. Diana stands triumphantly, with the figure modeled after Lee’s cover art for Wonder Woman: 80 Years of the Amazon Warrior. Pre-order details for the Wonder Woman figure will arrive on July 25, and it is expected to be available for purchase at the McFarlane Toys website as well as Amazon, GameStop, Target and other retailers.

Part of McFarlane Toys’ DC Direct line, the Wonder Woman figure joins other recently released 1:6 scale models of Superman and The Flash, both of which were modeled after Jim Lee’s artwork and are made of PVC. The previous figures come with large display bases and collectible card art and come with an accompanying McFarlane Toys Digital Collectible. The Jim Lee figures for The Flash and Superman both retail for $49.99, and it is expected that the Wonder Woman figure will be available at a similar price point upon its release.

The Wonder Woman figure and its digital counterpart join other “phygital” format releases from the toy company, giving fans access to real collectible figures and their digital counterparts. McFarlane Toys expanded its brand to the world of digital collectibles with the McFarlane Toys Digital Marketplace, which allows collectors the opportunity to play with and share their collection in virtual reality, ensuring they never run out of shelf space.
