Marvel is continuing to have strong success with its new Ultimate Comics line, featuring four ongoing titles at the moment, Jonathan Hickman and Marco Checchetto’s Ultimate Spider-Man, Bryan Hill and Stefano Caselli’s Ultimate Black Panther, Peach Momoko’s Ultimate X-Men, and Deniz Camp and Juan Frigeri’s Ultimates. Marvel is giving readers a sneak peek at future storylines, including the introduction of a new Ultimate Hawkeye, with the release of advance solicitations for October 2024.
The current Ultimate Universe was an alternate Earth that The Maker (the original Ultimate Universe’s twisted version of Reed Richards) manipulated for years to prevent superheroes from ever coming into existence. Well, after The Maker was captured during Ultimate Invasion, in his absence, superheroes have begun to debut again, and by the time the Maker returns to the world that he tried to control like a toy, he will be surprised to learn the resistance that is waiting for him.
