Marvel Comics is celebrating the upcoming animated series X-Men ’97 with special Action Figure variant covers for March’s X-Men comics.
The new variants feature the Marvel Legends X-Men ’97 6-inch scale action figures that were released by Hasbro and quickly became a pop culture sensation. A four-issue comic miniseries will also serve as a prelude for X-Men ’97, going on sale March 27 — a week after the show premieres. The variant covers feature some of the X-Men’s iconic members, including Cyclops, Wolverine, Rogue, Magneto and the Goblin Queen, showcasing the action figures in a style that mimics their box art packaging. Weapon X-Men #1, Wolverine #45, Resurrection of Magneto #3, X-Men: Forever #1 and X-Force #50 will each receive one of the Action Figure variant covers, with the issues releasing throughout the month of March, coinciding with the release of X-Men ’97 March 20 on Disney+.
