The king of children’s horror will remain sitting atop his throne. CBR can exclusively reveal R.L. Stine is returning to the land of comic books through a new volume in his hit series The Graveyard Club.

Promoted as The Breakfast Club by way of a graveyard, The Graveyard Club: Flesh Blood will be released as a graphic novel in April, further fleshing out the characters first introduced earlier this year. Stine is once again joined by artist Carola Borelli for the title, which the former says is darker than its predecessor.

“Darker and darker,” Stine says of the tone of the series. “The town has so many dark secrets to reveal, I wondered if any of my teen characters would survive! I love mixing normal teen life with the supernatural. I hope readers will be drawn into the dark mysteries and surprises.”

“Returning to Graves End was a bit like coming home,” adds series artist Carola Borelli. “I enjoyed the whole trip, accompanying Parker and his friends in this new adventure full of mystery and suspense. Explaining what this second volume is, is impossible, you could only read it and live it, like the members of the Graveyard Club.”

The Graveyard Club: Flesh Blood will be released in comic stores on Wednesday, April 16th and in bookstores the day prior.
