Something is Killing the Children has been a sensation, as the series (from writer James Tynion IV, artist Werther Dell’Edera, colorist Miquel Muerto, and letterer Andworld Design) has been a sales hit, a critical darling (winning multiple Eisner Awards), and is set to be adapted into a TV series for Netflix (and has led to Tynion forming his own production company, Tiny Onion). Now, five years into the series’ existence, it is celebrating its history with a special #0 issue (a historic feat for BOOM! Studios, as this is the first time one of its BOOM! Originals series has had a zero issue).

The Eisner and GLAAD award-winning team of James Tynion IV and Werther Dell’Edera invite fans into this intimate untold chapter of the monster hunter that sliced her way into the hearts of readers everywhere, along with the celebratory Something Is Killing The Children cover month celebrating the franchise’s 5th anniversary.

In a press release when the issue was first announced, Tynion IV noted, “It’s a real thrill to be going back to the very beginning, and telling a story that I never thought I’d be able to tell. Something is Killing the Children #0 is going to be one to remember, a comic worthy of a fifth anniversary!”
