Destro First Look Sees the G.I. Joe Villain Battle a Mysterious New Foe
[[{“value”:”
As the countdown continues to the launch of G.I. Joe #1, Skybound continues to release its miniseries starring the various major players in the G.I. Joe Universe, and in this first look of Destro #3, we see the iconic arms merchant locked in a deadly battle with a mysterious assassin known only as the Chameleon.
Destro #3 is from writer Dan Watters, guest artist Andrea Milana (who previously drew the Cobra Commander miniseries), colorist Adriano Lucas, and letterer Rus Wooton, and it continues the battle between Destro’s M.A.R.S corporation, and Xamot and Tomax and their Extensive Enterprises. Destro is at an isolated family refuge that has been in his clan for many generations. He is alone, and unarmed, and now he is being hunted by…the Chameleon.

A New G.I. Joe Series Launches in November
The Skybound/Hasbro “Energon Universe” has been setting up the G.I. Joe team, and in November, the team will officially debut in a new ongoing series
What happens in the preview pages of Destro #3?
As noted earlier, Destro has been in a battle with Extensive Enterprises. At the end of Destro #2, they vowed that they would destroy each other and take over their respective companies. Destro then went to his ceremonial refuge, in the middle of the Scottish highlands (during a snowy time of the year), but he is shocked that Xamot and Tomax have actually hired an assassin talented enough to track Destro there.
Destro, though, assumes that he will be able to take his would-be assassin down, as while Destro has no normal weapons on him, he does always have a mini-missile launcher on his arm. He is shocked, though, that the Chameleon has disabled his wrist launcher, and has hit Destro with a bullet.
You’ll have to check out Destro #3 next month to find out what happens next, and discover whether the Chameleon is a new character, or an established member of G.I. Joe lore in disguise (the latter sure seems to be the most likely)!
