Some of the most powerful heroes in the DC Comics Universe will make a final stand against the Trinity of Evil in the epic conclusion of Absolute Power. Releasing in October, Absolute Power #4 brings DC’s blockbuster summer event to a close with a bloody battle.

Mark Waid and Dan Mora’s Absolute Power series comes to an end with DC’s “Trinity of Evil” — Brainiac, Failsafe and Amanda Waller — pitted against its superheroes, including Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in a fight for the fate of the DC Universe. DC recently revealed the main cover and variants for Absolute Power #4, which hits comic stores on Oct. 2. A variety of special variant covers will be released for the issue, including a raised UV cover by Yasmine Putri, the 12th and final connecting variant cover by John Timms, a Power Participation variant cover by Juliet Nneka and a special variant by Mikel Janin that spotlights the villains of the Absolute Power event.

DC’s solicit for the final issue teases the epic battle that will draw Absolute Power to a close: “As the last remaining resistance fighters fight tooth and nail on the bloody island of Gamorra, Batman and Superman find themselves at bitter odds! Meanwhile, Amanda Waller has come too far to give up now, and is calling in reinforcements from across the Multiverse! The future of the DC Universe is up for grabs, and after this, things will never be the same!”

Absolute Power #1 went on sale last week, kicking off DC’s epic summer event that envisions a world without metahuman abilities. Amanda Waller’s recent rise to prominence in the DC Universe takes center stage, with her planning to steal the powers from all the metahuman heroes and villains on planet Earth.

DC Comics has teased that the events of Absolute Power will go on to “shape the course of the DC Universe for years to come”. Absolute Power is already poised to impact other DC titles, with spin-off stories titled Absolute Power: Task Force VII and Absolute Power: Origins arriving later in July to further flesh out the Trinity of Evil’s rise to power.
