[[{“value”:”

The following contains major spoilers for Avengers #17, on sale August 7 from Marvel Comics.

Captain Marvel has just called the Avengers out for their most recent failure, and she is right about everything.

Avengers #17 finds the eponymous heroes high above the Earth in their sentient space station, the Impossible City. There, they discuss the recently concluded war against vampires, one that they only survived thanks to the new Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Doom. While T’Challa is happy to consider himself and the others as victors, Captain Marvel is quick to remind him that the Avengers not only failed to save the world, they failed to prevent it from being overrun in the first place.
