One of the greatest unlikely heroes in the Marvel Universe has just reclaimed his humanity thanks to Venom War.
In the midst of the ongoing confrontation between Eddie and Dylan Brock, the arena they have chosen for the main event of Marvel’s Venom War #4 is overrun by the Zombiote swarm that has washed over New York City. Fortunately, Eddie knows there is at least one symbiote in the arena who holds the answer to the problem at hand, if only he can take hold of it long enough to make a difference. As such, Eddie asks Flash Thompson to pass off the power of the Anti-Venom symbiote, and in doing so the latter finds himself miraculously returned to the old self he never though he would see again.

Eugene “Flash” Thompson is one of the oldest characters in the overarching Spider-Man mythos, with his first appearance taking place right alongside that of Peter Parker himself in Stan Lee and Steve Ditko’s story “Spider-Man!” from the pages of 1962’s Amazing Fantasy #15. Initially, Flash was an overt antagonist, serving as Peter’s longtime peer turned high school bully. Though Flash maintained this sort of attitude for decades, he would eventually turn a new leaf as a hero of the United States Army. This eventually led Flash to be grievously wounded in action, which in turn led to his chance to be reborn as Project Rebirth 2.0’s very own Agent Venom.
Flash spent years bonded to the Venom symbiote, even after the government project behind it was shut down. During his time as Venom, Flash teamed up with all manner of other heroes, even becoming an official member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Although Flash would lose the Venom symbiote not long after his time in space, he found a new symbiote partner in the form of the Anti-Venom symbiote not all that long after. Tragically, Flash would lose his life at the hands of Norman Osborn’s Red Goblin, though that wasn’t the end of his story.
An MCU Fan-Favorite Finally Explained the Truth Behind Her Powers – and It’s a Tragedy
One of the most explosive superheroes of the silver screen has finally explained exactly how her powers work in the pages of Marvel Comics.
During the events of King in Black, Eddie Brock found himself standing face-to-face with Flash Thompson as Codeces within the symbiote Hive. While Knull and his armada swarmed over the Earth, Eddie and Flash pushed the bounds of what their consciousnesses could accomplish from within the Hive. Eventually, Flash was able to manifest as a being of pure Anti-Venom symbiote on Earth by sheer force of will, effectively proving his own immortality, not to mention that of any other individual whose Codex contains as much drive as the likes of himself and Eddie Brock.
