One of Image Comics‘ top-selling noir comic book series will be collected in a trade paperback arriving this December. The One Hand & The Six Fingers mixes elements of sci-fi, detective noir and horror across its pages.

Image Comics will collect the complete story in trade paperback form, and it will feature ten alternating chapters that create a brand-new reading experience for the mind-bending neo-noir mystery. Two all-star creative teams offer two different perspectives on the crime story, with the paperback collecting both Ram V and Laurence Campbell’s The One Hand miniseries and Dan Watters and Sumit Kumar’s The Six Fingers. The One Hand & The Six Fingers goes on sale in comic book stores on Dec. 11 and will be available in bookstores on Dec. 24.

The alternating perspectives give readers an in-depth look at the story’s brutal crime. In The One Hand, Ari Nasser is a grizzled homicide detective who is about to retire until a brutal murder occurs with the hallmark signs of being committed by a killer Ari has already caught twice in the past. In The Six Fingers, archaeology student Johannes Vale commits a murder using the serial killer’s M.O. and finds his life spiraling out of control, especially considering he doesn’t remember committing the crime.

AIPT recently revealed cover art for the collected trade paperback of the story, including two connecting variant covers by Alvaro E. Martinez Buneo and Sean Phillips. The collected edition will also be available on digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books and Google Play.

The Noir Mystery Series Features Two Interweaving Stories

The One Hand & The Six Fingers features a deadly cat-and-mouse game with its twin stories, resulting in an ambitious project with multiple mysteries unfolding throughout its pages. “We set out to run upon untrodden ground with these twin stories, trying to tell a third truth in their reading,” said The One Hand author Ram V. “It’s a cat and mouse story with an entirely different sort of chase in between. I hope readers will enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it!”
