In the second season of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s animated series on Disney+, What If…?, a brand-new MCU superhero that had never previously appeared in a Marvel comic book made her debut. Dubbed Kahhori, she was a Mohawk woman in an alternate reality where Asgard fell before Odin could secure the Tesseract, so the Tesseract instead fell to Earth, and transformed the waters of the Forbidden Lake. When Kahhori was forced into the Lake after being attacked by Conquistadors, she found herself transported to Sky World, where she found herself now imbued by the powers of the Space Stone, and so now had all manners of superpowers, perhaps most notable the ability to create portals between universes.

Kahhori played a major role in What If…? Season 2, in both her episode, and in the battle against the power mad Doctor Strange from another reality, but now she will be making her Marvel Universe comic book debut next week in Kahhori: Reshaper of Worlds #1, and CBR has an exclusive preview of the comic, which is written by Ryan Little (the TV writer who created Kahhori), and drawn by Marvel Studios artist, Todd Harris, David Cutler and Jim Terry, and there is additional writing in the comic by Indigenous writers Arihhonni “Honni” David and Kelly Lynne D’Angelo.

In the preview pages, we see Kahhori in her home of Sky World, and we get a glimpse of her fantastical everyday life in that magical environment. However, we see that her happy days are in danger, as Sky World is attacked by an alternate reality version of Loki!

We then catch in on Matt Murdock and Maya Lopez, two superheroes on Earth, and then see that Kahhori has used her portal powers to transport from Sky World to the Marvel Universe, where she encounters Moon Knight, but it is unclear whether the superheroes of Marvel Earth will come back to her world with her, or if she is stuck on Marvel Earth. You’ll have to pick up a copy next week to find out!
