Celebrate The Walking Dead’s 21st Birthday With Negan

Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead comics are turning 21 years old, and Skybound is celebrating with a new deluxe edition of the series’ 100th issue.

Tynion Onion founder Tynion discussed the new Tiny Onion Presents newspaper’s function with Popverse. “T.O.P. serves a lot of functions. We wanted people to get a feeling for the personality of the Tiny Onion team,” he said. “We wanted people to have a fun place they can hear about our next big swings before anybody else. We wanted to make a product for comic conventions that feels really exclusive and special. But most importantly, we made T.O.P. to show our readership how much we love the full breadth of the comics medium.”

T.O.P. editor Courtney Mernard enjoyed the experience of working on the project. “Working on T.O.P. with the Tiny Onion crew was wonderfully cathartic,” the Tiny Onion production director said. “Witnessing each contributor’s playfulness and creativity was like a jolt of energy straight to the brain, and the result is a beautiful, inky peek into what we love about comics. Make zines with your friends.”
