Rumor: Two Agatha All Along Characters’ Comic Identities Leaked
[[{“value”:”
The following article contains spoilers for Agatha All Along.
Two Agatha All Along characters, Rio Vidal and Teen, appear to have had their true identities leaked online. New images of upcoming Funko Pop collectibles for the show reveal the characters’ comic book identities.
The leaks show a Funko pop of Plaza’s character with the name ‘Death’. The images are available on X despite having been taken down by Funko after the leak was caught. Agatha All Along has been hinting that Joe Locke’s Teen is actually Nicholas Scratch, Agatha’s son, whose identity is kept a secret thanks to a glamour spell that won’t let him say who he is — but leaked Funko Pop images show that the character is Scarlet Witch’s son, Wiccan (Billy Kaplan). This reveal likely doesn’t come as much of a surprise for fans of Scarlet Witch, WandaVision and Agatha All Along, but the true identity of Aubrey Plaza’s character comes as much more of a surprise.
X-Men: Storm Debuts New Costume in New Marvel Series
Marvel gives fans a preview of Storm’s new costume that will premiere in the X-Men character’s upcoming solo series.
Plaza’s character of Rio Vidal doesn’t exist in the Marvel Comics timeline — and her true identity being revealed as Death could spell out a larger role for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the comics, Death (or Lady/Mistress Death) is a character that has appeared in numerous Avengers storylines and other Marvel events, like Chaos War and The Thanos Quest. The character often has ties to Thanos, with the villainous Titan trying to conquer the universe in order to romance her.
The leaked Funko Pops appear to be a credible source regarding the true identity of the two Agatha All Along characters; previous Funko and other toy listings have spoiled important character reveals from other comic book franchises in the past. While Agatha All Along is still airing, the leak seems to be hinting that the show will act as a catalyst to propel its two most mysterious characters into larger roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Spider-Man Returns to an Iconic New York City Event This Fall
Marvel announces that Spider-Man will make his return to an iconic New York City event later this year, with a design inspired by John Romita Sr.
The identity of Teen as Wiccan is not that surprising, but by introducing Wiccan into the MCU, Marvel also has the possibility of resurrecting Scarlet Witch as well as introducing other new characters often associated with Wicacn, like the Young Avengers and Hulkling. As for Lady Death, there are certainly some wild fan theories about what her inclusion could bring to the next phase of the MCU, but it seems unlikely that she’ll be getting wooed by Thanos — meaning the character of Death may be exploring new stories when it comes to the silver screen.
Agatha All Along is airing now on Disney+.
