Titan Comics has unveiled a preview of Minky Woodcock: The Girl Called Cthulhu. The upcoming four-issue comic is the third installment in creator Cynthia von Buhler’s Minky Woodcock series following The Girl Who Handcuffed Houdini and The Girl Who Electrified Tesla.
Titan Comics’ preview reveals six pages of the gorgeous art typical of writer/artist Buhler for the upcoming Minky Woodcock comic, featuring the titular plucky detective on a brand-new case. The preview also showcases the main cover and variant cover art of The Girl Called Cthulhu‘s first issue, which hits comic book shelves this October. Celina designed the main cover for Minky Woodcock: The Girl Called Cthulhu #1, which has variant covers drawn by Buhler, Claudia Ianniciello, and Alison Sampson.

Buhler’s first book in the Titan Comics series, Minky Woodcock: The Girl Who Handcuffed Houdini, debuted in 2015 and centered on Minky, the daughter of famous private detective Benedict Woodcock. Minky Woodcock: The Girl Who Electrified Tesla followed in 2021. Buhler’s Minky Woodcock books notably feature appearances by famous historical figures, including Harry Houdini, Arthur Conan Doyle, Nikola Tesla, and Josephine Baker.

Crafted in collaboration with the late great musician’s sister, Janie Hendrix, the “21st Century psychedelic rock ‘n’ roll odyssey” takes Hendrix on a space quest to the center of the universe, where he shares the power of his music with those starved of rock ‘n’ roll by a tyrannical intergalactic force determined to silence all music from the universe. Mellow Brown and DJ Ha Meen wrote the book, with art by Tom Mandrake.
Titan Comics‘ Minky Woodcock: The Girl Called Cthulhu #1 will arrive in comic book shops on October 16, 2024.
