Deadpool’s Strangest Adventures
While Deadpool & Wolverine introduced Deadpool to the MCU, he’s had much stranger adventures in Marvel Comics.
Who is the Dragon Lord?
The Dragon Lord debuted in Fantastic Four Annual #16, by Marv Wolfman, Steve Ditko, and Ed Hannigan…
This was during Steve Ditko’s return stint to Marvel after leaving the company in the mid-1960s at the height of his success on Amazing Spider-Man. Ditko worked on a few different books during this period, and helped introduce some new characters during this period, including, in this issue, the mysterious Dragon Lord.
At the end of the issue, fans are asked to write in if they wanted to see more of Dragon Lord’s adventures…
Since that was his last appearance, there probably weren’t that many letters. However, he somehow caught the attention of Rob Liefeld, who is clearly using this series as a celebration of the whole Marvel Universe, which is a wonderful way for him to say goodbye to Deadpool.
And you can check it out all out next week when Deadpool Team-Up #1 comes out!
