X-Men and Iron Man‘s Gerry Duggan and Image Comics have announced the upcoming release of a “visual autobiography,” celebrating the writer’s life in comics. Timing/Luck, a collection of Duggan’s photographs taken across two decades, will feature his friends and colleagues, including other iconic comic book creators, comedians, and more.

Timing/Luck originally received a crowdfunded limited edition release, and according to Popverse, a soft-cover edition of Duggan’s photo collection is now coming from Image Comics on November 19. A partial list of famous personalities fans can expect to see in the visual autobiography include Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman, Stan Lee, Mark Hamill, Todd McFarlane, Robert Kirkman, Eric Stephenson, Marc Silvestri, James Tynion IV, Brian Posehn, Kevin Feige, Vita Ayala, Jason Aaron, Rick Remender, Matt Fraction, Chip Zdarsky, Jeff Lemire, Tini Howard, Skottie Young, John McCrea, Jock, Leah Williams, Brian K. Vaughn, Christopher Priest, Charles Soule, G. Willow Wilson, Brian Azzarello, and Declan Shalvey, amongst many others.

Duggan is famous for writing comics such as Marvel’s X-Men, Invincible Iron Man, Dead Eyes, and Falling in Love on the Path to Hell, but he is also an avid photographer. Duggan expressed his excitement about the upcoming soft-cover edition of the photo collection and the Image Comics partnership. “Timing/Luck is a visual autobiography of my time in Los Angeles as the worlds of comics and Hollywood began to overlap,’ he said. “It’s been my privilege to work with so many talented artists and travel the world in support of the work. After the successful crowdfunding effort on the limited edition, I’m proud to publish the softcover at Image Comics, my longtime home for creator-owned collaborations.”

Image Comics will publish an all-new crime caper graphic novel called Royals in early 2025. Created by Eisner Award-winning writer Derek Kirk Kim and rising star artist Jacob Perez, Royals takes place in the ‘shadowy back alleys’ of Seoul, South Korea, as twin brothers Paul and Castor use their uncanny telepathic connection for profit in the perfect poker hustle. They are eventually caught red-handed by one of Seoul’s most ruthless crime syndicates — and now the brothers must launch a daring heist using their telepathic powers to save their lives.

The hardcover original graphic novel will be available in comic stores on April 9, 2025, and in independent bookstores, Amazon, and other book retailers on April 22, 2025. Royals, including Amazon’s Kindle, Apple Books, and the Google Play Store, will also be available on digital platforms.
