Minnie Mouse will make the Captain Marvel mantle her own in an upcoming What…If? one-shot. Marvel & Disney’s What…If? Minnie Became Captain Marvel #1 will hit comic book shelves in November.

The new Marvel and Disney What…If? one-shots have featured iconic Mouse House characters, including Mickey, embarking on epic adventures, retreading legendary Marvel storylines with a dash of Disney magic. It is now Minnie’s turn to bask in the spotlight as she tackles the mystery of her mysterious new cosmic powers. Per Marvel, writers Steve Behling and Luca Barbieri will pen the story with art by Giada Perissinotto. In addition to Perissinotto’s Marvel & Disney’s What…If? Minnie became Captain Marvel #1’s main cover, Elena Casagrande, Peach Momoko, and Phil Noto will provide covers.

Marvel & Disney’s What…If? Minnie Became Captain Marvel #1 will put a unique spin on Carol Danvers’ superhero origins in 1997’s Ms. Marvel by Gerry Conway, John Buscema, Chris Claremont, Joe Sinnott, Jim Mooney, and David Anthony Kraft. Minnie‘s upcoming saga will also feature Peg Leg Pete as the villainous Scorpion and include appearances by classic Disney favorites such as Scrooge McDuck. “Steve, Luca, and Giada perfectly capture the spirit of Carol Danvers’ origin, a real nostalgic treat with a Disney twist. Guaranteed to be the most fun comic of the month,” states Marvel editor Mark Paniccia.

Two legends collided when Donald Duck became Wolverine in July’s What If…? Donald Duck Became Wolverine #1, a Disney fun-infused adaptation of Mark Millar and Steve McNiven’s iconic “Old Man Logan” storyline. Pete-Skull and his marauding minions bring chaos to Duckburg with their evil machinations. Fortunately, the city has plenty of heroes willing to fight for it, including Mickey-Hawkeye. Though capable, Mickey-Hawkeye knows that the mission calls for his old ally, Donald-Wolverine, who only needs to be reminded of his glory days to be convinced to restart the good fight.
